So Much To Do, So Little Time…

July 23rd, 2007

Things have been pretty busy here lately. Today I’ve been preparing for the arrival of Andrew’s brother, James, tomorrow. He’ll be staying with us for a week. Tomorrow is also Sammy’s 1st birthday, and tonight I’m planning to do a practice try on the special cake I plan to bake him for his big party on Saturday. That way he’ll have a cake tomorrow, on his real birthday, too! He’s really going to get fat off of all this cake!

I just wanted to point out attention to two things that Andrew and I have updated in recent days. First, Andrew went ahead and wrote a little summary of our lives, which you can view in the “About” page. The link is at the top, next to News and Contacts. Secondly, due to a little mistake, we weren’t able to close down sarahflanagan.com, so I’ve started posting random things on that website again, if there is anyone interested in that.

Lastly, you may or may not have noticed that I didn’t post a name clue yesterday. I got the idea of the name game off a friend’s blog, but it doesn’t appear as though there’s been much interest. Not that I’m upset… I just thought it looked like a fun game and thought more people would be eager to play. So, we’re going to keep the name of the baby a secret until birth. We’ve had a couple mixed reactions from the few people we have mentioned the name to anyways, and I’m beginning to think it might be better to wait and reveal it after the baby is born, so no one can give us ANY grief! (And, in case that last statement is making you wonder what sort of strange and horrible name we have planned to torture our child with… if you know Andrew and I, we don’t go for the unusual names… so don’t worry!!!)

If you’d like to know the gender though… here’s your last hint.

Boy, oh boy, oh BOY!

I TOTALLY agree with you on not saying the baby’s mane until HE comes. 🙂 (Looks like I’m out for gender!) I still won’t say the girl name we really liked just in case we ever do have a girl. But, it seems like people are more free to comment on the name if the baby isn’t born yet. Who knows why? Thanks for keeping us updated even tho I KNOW you have a million and a half things to do and a tiny bit of energy to do it all. Hang in there! I’m sure you are such a cute pregnant woman!!! Also, thanx for the fenugreek idea!

Boy, oh boy! God must think that you and Andrew are the perfect parents for boys!! I could only imagine, but it must be a huge responsibility to raise the next generation of leaders.
