On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Patrick made huge messes. On Monday he got into our pantry, and pulled out a half full economy-sized bottle of olive oil, which he poured all over the kitchen and Sammy. On Wednesday he opened a package that came for Andrew, which contained a large quantity of packing peanuts. I won’t even tell you what the mess was on Tuesday, but let’s just say that it was so bad I had to call my mom to come over to the house to help steam clean the carpet. Aren’t kids delightful?!!!

Dear Mrs. Whaley,

Thank you so much for the new outfit. It is my only preemie outfit, and the ONLY outfit that actually fits. The little hat that went with it is the only hat that doesn’t fall down and cover my eyes.  Although we all know I probably won’t be wearing this for more than about a month, it is so nice to have something that actually fits right now for once!!!

In the past several months, it’s been nearly impossible to get Patrick to smile for the camera… that is, until today, when I let him hold his littlest brother. He was so proud and excited to hold the new baby, and was grinning away at the camera!

On a random note, it’s so weird to think that, just three years ago, Patrick was actually smaller than Ethan is in these pictures. It’s amazing how quickly they grow…
