Patrick or Ethan?

Is it just me or do they look sort of similar? Ethan’s skin tone is not quite as yellowish as Patrick’s was (Patrick had jaundice as a newborn), and Ethan’s hair is darker. Patrick’s face seems to be a little longer and more oval-shaped, and he has his front hair swirl. Other than that, I think Ethan is going to take after his Daddy (like Patrick), whereas Sammy is definitely a little Feucht baby!

Ethan Has a GIRLFRIEND!

November 28th, 2007

This morning I got a call from my friend, Kjerste, telling me that she had her baby last night. They did not find out the gender of their baby, who was due two days after Ethan (who was due the 26th!). Since practically every pregnant person at church is or has just had a baby boy, I think we were all expecting another boy. I was so shocked when Kjerste told me it was a girl!!!! So, after hurrying to get ready, and dropping the two older boys off with Grandma, Ethan and I went to visit beautiful little Kaiya Grace. She was wonderfully alert the entire time we were there, while my little guy slept the whole time! Here are a few pictures I was able to get!

Welcome to the world, little sweetie pie!

I think it might just be because Kaiya is bundled tightly, but Ethan actually looks quite large in this picture. He goes to see the doctor next week, so we’ll find out how much he now weighs, so we can compare their size better!

Well, we can’t say it’s love at first sight, because Ethan wouldn’t even open his eyes!

Congratulations, Derek and Kjerste!!!

SAMMY IS WALKING!

November 27th, 2007

Finally, after waiting what seems like forever, Sammy just started walking today! I was just able to get him to walk about four feet before he tumbled over. I can’t tell you how proud (and relieved) that he’s finally walking!!!

Our Thanksgiving

November 22nd, 2007

We had a fairly low key Thanksgiving celebration this year. We went over to my parents’ house and celebrated with them and Uncle Jonny. Mom made most of the food, although I did provide a baked brie, a jello salad, and a deep dish apple pie. We all enjoyed the food, but Sammy did especially! Patrick and Sammy enjoyed playing with Uncle Jonny, and Ethan mainly slept the whole time. The evening ended very tearfully for Sammy, though… and if you look at these pictures, you’ll see why!

Sammy, even more eager than Patrick to begin eating!

Sammy just couldn’t get enough of the mashed potatoes! I’ve never seen anyone so eager in anticipation of every bite!

Ethan enjoyed getting to sleep in the arms of Opa

Giggle time for Daddy and Sammy

img_5826.JPG

I tried very hard to get a cute picture of the three boys together. In most of the pictures Sammy was either trying to poke Ethan or trying to get away. Let’s just hope they cooperate when I take them to Sears in two weeks, to get this year’s Christmas picture!!!

Sadly, I think this was the best picture I got. Don’t they all look depressed???

The littlest guy and I!

And here’s how  Sammy’s night ended… with his very, very first haircut. His hair was getting so long, that we realized that it was time that he finally grew up… so bye bye, cute soft baby fuzz hair…  :o(

Who was it who put Sammy through this torture? Here’s a little clue as to who the culprit was…

A Couple Random Pictures

November 21st, 2007

Things have been so incredibly busy around here, so I haven’t had a lot of time to take pictures or post any news. Here’s just a few pictures taken in the past few days.
