Ethan Loves Shakespeare

June 30th, 2008

Today Ethan proved to me that he shares a love of Shakespeare with his Mommy when he scooted himself over to the bookshelf on his back, grabbed a paperback copy of Henry V, and proceeded to chew on it. When I tried to pull it out of his firm grasp, he managed to tear a page out, which he continued to chomp on joyfully before I was able to unhook his tightly closed fingers from off the poor page. He really wasn’t happy with me after that…

Three Little Boys Movie

This is just a little clip I shot yesterday morning of the three boys… it’s nothing too special, but shows what they’re like on a typical day :o)

I HUNGRY MAMA!

June 17th, 2008

For about two weeks now Patrick has been a bottomless pit, probably the result of a growth spurt he’s going through. All day he is constantly saying to me, “Mama, I HUNRY! I HUNGRY, MAMA!”. It reminds me of Rolly in 101 Dalmations, the fat little puppy that always wants to eat. This kid is eating us out of house and home, and he’s only 3 1/2. I just wonder what things are going to be like when all three boys are teenagers… we’re going to have to start eating cheap!!!

Mama, Winter’s Coming…

June 8th, 2008

I haven’t posted for a while, and the main reason for that is that we really haven’t been doing much. It’s June and the weather has been, well, cold and rainy. We even had to turn our heat back on this week. Normally I don’t mind too much… after all, I am a Northwest gal and I don’t like it when things get too hot around here. But… lately I’ve noticed my two little guys seem to have a bit of cabin fever, and I just wish I could send them outside to play, or take them to the park… Bradley Park’s new playground equipment is probably done by now… but it’s so cold! Patrick, who sometimes knows more than I credit him for, informed me last week that winter is coming. No, son, it’s summer. It’s a cold, wet, rainy summer. But, if we’re lucky, the sun might come out this year. Maybe for 2 seconds. So we better watch for it, because if we blink it might be gone…

So much for global warning… it’s not happening in the wonderfully cold state of Washington!!!
