Patrick still has a fever of at least 100 degrees. I really hope that it will go down soon. I’ve been monitoring his temps closely and have been giving him tylonal to help it go down. Last night it was up to 101 degrees. Dad said that if it got up to 102 we’d have to start worrying about getting it down, but so far it hasn’t come to that. He doesn’t act as though he’s sick, though. He’s been very happy, very active and has a great appetite. He still has a runny nose and one runny eye. I really hope that this clears up by Saturday because we’re going to get a professional family picture done and Uncle Lew and Aunt Carol will be up visiting as well.

We’ll be having a long weekend here at our house. Andrew put in a lot of time at work last Saturday and the beginning of this week, so he’ll be able to take Thursday and Friday off. We’re not planning anything too big since we still have a sick little munchkin, but hopefully we’ll all be able to get some rest (if Patrick will let us!).

Patrick loves to play with toilet paper. We had to get a special “Toilet Paper Keeper” at Babies R Us to prevent him from doing this:

The past several days have been pretty hard in our house as Patrick and I have had pretty bad colds. Patrick has had watery eyes, a runny nose, a cough and a slight fever for the past few days now, and we’re hoping that his temperature will go back down to normal soon. I think he has gotten over the worst of the bug, however. Saturday it seemed like he was extremely irritable, he needed to be around Mommy at all times, and he wouldn’t allow anyone to touch his little nose, which was all crusted over. Yesterday he seemed to go back to his sweet little self again, although even today he hasn’t quite fully recovered yet. This is the first time since Patrick was born that he has gotten really sick, and it’s been heart wrenching to watch him feel so terribly awful. It’s hard to be a mommy…

Although Little Man is growing up so fast, here at our house we still maintain that we have the cutest baby in the whole wide world!!!

Patrick loves going over to Oma und Opa’s house because they feed him anything he wants, they have a cat that is fun to chase around the house, and they have stairs!!!! Patrick has climbed these stairs 5 times now, and he absolutely loves it!!!!
