Here are some more pictures from yesterday. After returning home from the pumpkin patch, Sammy played with Patrick’s pumpkin for a while, and then we went over to my parents’ house for dinner and to help celebrate Uncle Jonny’s 25th birthday.

Today we did one of our favorite fall activities: picking out a pumpkin! We all had a great time this year at the Schultz Farm down in the Orting Valley, going through corn mazes, feeding the animals, playing in the giant wood chip pile, and finding the perfect pumpkin. We got over 100 pictures from our time at the farm… here are just a few of the many, many great shots we got!

This summer, Andrew did quite a bit of work on our backyard, and, for the most part, things have been really growing nicely. One of the big jobs we did this summer was to take out two large raised garden beds from the side yard and replace the whole area with grass.

The side yard with new grass. In the spring we’ll be adding mulch to the areas with no grass, and put in some plants. Andrew said we could put in some more rose bushes!!!
Beautiful fall colors on one of our trees. When most of your trees are evergreens, it’s nice to have a few that actually change colors…. until they lose their leaves and look dead all winter, that is!
Both of the hydrangeas that we purchased late this summer have bloomed. Have I ever mentioned how much I love hydrangeas??? I love going to Pt. Defiance Park and seeing all the hydrangea plants, located near the rose garden. They’re so beautiful and come in so many different shapes and colors.
we end up with a child who is sporting a mustache that looks all too similar to that of a certain famous Austrian-born dictator…
Thankfully, the crayon was washable and non-toxic!
Tonight, with Andrew gone, Patrick and I found ample ways to amuse ourselves using my computer and the built in camera. We took a TON of shots. Here are just a few of the many cute and/or funny pictures we got together!!!
