Patrick Sees the Doctor
Patrick saw the doctor this morning. For the first time, he was actually kind of scared of the doctor and wanted me to hold him the whole time. He really didn’t like being poked and proded. He also didn’t like getting is toe pricked to test his iron levels (which were good!). However, when he got his shot he didn’t cry at all. The doctor said that he’s average-sized at 28 lbs and 35 inches tall. He’s actually slightly over the 50th percentile for height, but right at the 50th percentile for weight. I am glad he’s average, because I was afraid he might be a little on the small side. The doctor encouraged me to be very strict and firm with him, in order to help him to learn how to behave properly. I’m glad that our doctor is strongly in favour of spanking… I know several people at church who mentioned that their pediatricians frowned on that. That’s one of the good things about having a Christian doctor!
